INSCRIRE writes the Children‘s Rights
Inscrire
schreibt die Kinderrechte
In Bremen there is a very special clinic
for Children called "Links der Weser“. We have created a project
with the drawings of the children. Then we send another project out in
the world, called a " A message in a bottle"

In der Bremer Kinderklinik "Links der Weser" gibt es zwei Projekte
von und für Kinder: "Inscrire schreibt die Kinderrechte" und "Flaschenpost".
Beide beinhalten Kommentare von Kindern über ihre Rechte und präsentieren
diese der Öffentlichkeit. |
In the clinic for Children, we have used
the drawings of the children who were sick and who drew their beliefs
in Human Rights as they spent
time in the hospital waiting for their health to come back...

We have copied their drawings into tiles and placed them among large colorful
shapes reminder of the Bauhaus era, all along the main corridors where the children
spend time walking to recuperate their health. |

Françoise Schein kommentiert:
„The
rights for the children, the future
of our society“. Als Hommage an Deutschland werden Bauhauselemente
und Bauhausfarben verwendet.
Das Anliegen des Projektes ist es, die Rechte der Kinder durch Kunst an
eine breite Öffentlichkeit zu bringen. |
For the clinic we used a few other drawings
usually used into the subway stations, in order to create a continuity
within all the different projects:
the eye, the bird, the free person, the slave and a free child.

Barbara Reiter and Françoise Schein produced the work in the atelier
of the Buchtal
fabrik in Germany. |
At the inauguration the children,
sang a song called "Wir Kinder Haben Rechte", written by Birgit Behrens
and put into a song by Raimund Michels.
Birgit is the in-house teacher at the hospital.

We have offered to Children from all over the world to discuss their rights with
their teachers and comment on them in the form of drawings and then send them
to us...for you to see.
