To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the City of La Louvière, the City’s public services, artist Françoise Schein and the NGO INSCRIRE held workshops to create a participatory work of art: Le Banquet de la Louve, a 10-meter long table.

Around themes and images which evoke the city of the Wolves, 70 citizens created and painted plates on the ceramic tiles of the table; linked together by the canal, they are all interpretations of what La Louvière is. The artwork will be permanently installed next to the Keramis museum, in the Rue des Faïenciers.

We are pleased to invite you to its unveiling on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Mill, Place Communale, in the presence of the municipal authorities, the artist and the citizens who contributed to the project.

The people of La Louviere and citizens from elsewhere will be invited to take part in the event. Everyone will be able, according to his or her desire, to come and sit down, think, eat, watch, discover and share a moment with family, friends, make new encounters…

In line with this creation, La Mytère de la Dot, a time capsule has been installed at the Mill: a dinner service to be opened in 50 years to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the City of La Louvière.
