Artist of the Human Rights – MAB-FAAP, São-Paulo, Brazil

Sept. 20 to Nov. 20, 2015

Retrospective exhibition at the MAB, Museum of Brazilian Art about the Inscrire’s work in Brazil and around the world.

In 2015, from September 20 to November 22, the Museum of Brazilian Art in FAAP (MAB-FAAP) presented the exhibition “Françoise Schein – The Human Rights Artist” that gathered the artist’s work and the original works in ceramic to be installed in the Luz subway station in São Paulo.
The Association Inscrire and F. Schein develop projects that are integrated permanently in the urban scenery and in places with a strong human flow.

The cities and their residents are the universe of the work, in which Schein reflects on the relation between these people and the environment around them.

The artwork in the Luz station started in 2010 with the participation of middle school students and other artists. Beyond discussing human rights, it also tells the history of São Paulo.  The exhibit was previously presented at CIVA  (Centre International pour la Ville, l’Architecture et le Paysage), in Brussels, Belgium.
